Priciest deli ever! $25 for two bagel sandwiches. If you want or wheat bread add $.95 per sandwich.
(1)Daniel R.
Wow. Believe the reviews. I spent $11 on a bagel, one dollar for toasting it, and it had a very obvious spot green fuzzy mold inside it. Oh, and the dollar I spent to toast it was evidently spent to burn it. The lady didn't care one iota and when I tried to say something she looked right passed me at the next customer and ignored me. Then as I'm walking out she says "welcome to cannon beach tourism". Oh, and I left my dog outside while I was in there and when I came out he was eating a moldy bagel that he found. Go figure.other than that, this place was as awesome as a car wreck in a smart car.
(1)Anil S.
Believe the reviews! Find a mud puddle, throw $10 in it and take a drink. You will get a better value that way :) Seriously, support ANY of the other coffee/espresso places nearby. Horrible service, horrible cleanliness, horrible product. Horrible.
(1)Jennifer L.
We stopped in here because it was the only place open for a cup of coffee at the time and I wish we had walked on by. I got two americanos to go and it was the worst cup of coffee I've ever had. Even though the woman appeared to use the espresso machine (which was missing quite a few knobs and buttons) to make the drinks what I was handed was disgusting. The coffee had the taste and appearance of old gas station coffee that was then even further watered down than what you'd expect from a gas station. We were already in the car and back on the road at the point of discovery so we tried to drink the coffees but couldn't stomach them and wound up throwing them out. What a frustrating waste of money.

On my first trip to Cannon Beach, I decided to stop for lunch. I chose this deli. I chose poorly. I ordered the "Big Kahuna", which was basically tuna salad on a bagel. I paid for the bagel up-front. Big mistake. It took over 20 minutes to get. It became clear that the woman behind the counter didn't care one whit. I had a chance to look around, and the place was rather filthy. When my "sandwich" finally came, it had essentially no meat on it, was hard as a rock and cost damn near $10. When I complained, the woman sniped to me: "Hey, you're on the coast, whaddaya want?!" If I hadn't paid first, I would have walked out of this dump. Honestly, I don't know how this place stays in business. After all the negative reviews, it's amazing the local government allows this place to stay open. As bad as lunch was, my dinner at Sweet Basil's Cafe (down the street) was a big disappointment too. I will never set foot in Cannon Beach again. The place sucks!
(1)Jordan K.
They charge an extra dollar for toasting one bagel, and when it is all done you end up paying over $9 for a bagel. Its a decent bagel, but not worth anything more than $5. A tourist trap that should be avoided at all costs.
(1)Rian F.
expensive bagel sandwiches but this isn't a 1 star place. Wonder when the ice cream will ever come back?
(2)Deanna N.
Whores! Pimps! What a rip off for a ten dollar bagel sandwich and 2.75 for a diet Pepsi. Dumpy huge kitchen, one table and pickles, a tomato an onion slice average 75 cents more. 13 reviews at 1 star! We should have checked yelp before even crossing the screen door. Oh and horrible one person staffed service. Health inspection needed.
(1)Robin L.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. They charged us $19 for coffee, water, and two bagels. And the bagels were not even that good! Mine was super hard and tasteless! Do not go here! Go to Bald Eagle coffee down the street or something. Just avoid this place! They are ripping people off badly!
(1)Erin S.
Sigh. I just wanted a sandwich. A turkey sandwich cost $9.30. What the hell? I wish I had the smarts to turn and leave. Never again dumpy lil bagel shop. Never again.
(1)Cheryl D.
We got into Cannon Beach late and I was starving and getting cranky. We found this place and went in to get our Bagel on. Man, those are the saddest looking bagels I have ever seen, homemade obviously but they look and taste terrible, actually they are pretty tasteless and tough. I ordered a bagel toasted with cream cheese, $4.50, hubby got a bagel sandwich and it was $9.50, for a freaking bagel with some meat and cheese, tomato and lettuce. I would never go back in a million years. The place looks pretty dirty and unkempt.
(1)Kate F.
Absolutely disgusting place. This was my first visit to Cannon Beach being from California and I was appalled by this so called "deli." First off, bagels were way over priced for how skinny and dehydrated the bagels were. Secondly, all of our orders were made wrong and mine was served with an old, moldy avocado. I can not believe this trashy place is still operating in such a nice area. Very disappointing to see in Cannon Beach area. Avoid this place at all cost.

I had a terrible experience there. When the cashier gave me my change I realized she had charged me more than the menu board for everything. When I asked her to break down my bill she became annoyed with me but did so: she charged me a dollar for an extra espresso shot, 50 cents for cream in my coffee, 50 cents TO TOAST MY BAGEL... at the end there was still 50 cents that she couldn't explain but she was acting like I was an asshole for even asking and there were several other customers watching our interaction so I just let it drop. OH! Then it took 20 minutes to get my crappy bagel! Even though they didn't appear to be particularly busy. The only reason this place stays open is because it's right by the parking lot near the beach at Haystack Rock. There are soooo many other reputable businesses in Cannon Beach. This place is horrible. Don't support it.

I really wish I would have read the reviews before going here. When I walked in I wasn't even greeted not a big deal. It's a deli...the guy making the sandwiches seemed angry. Ok, maybe he's having a bad day. thought the bagels were small and the prices were a bit much But I figured we were all hungry so what the heck can't be that bad. They're bagels after all. I ordered three bagels off the menu A tuna sandwich bagel, and two others I think they were called something like the cannon, a the haystack. All fitting names for the cannon beach area... I paid 30 dollars plus tip. Not sure how she got to 30 but didn't really care at the time. When the bagels came out. Loaded them in my sack and headed two blocks to my hungry friends. I joked about paying 12 dollars per bagel. The joke was on us however... We were shocked to find out that One of the bagels had rancid meat. You could smell it as soon as you opened it. I'm never going back. My friends wanted me to take the sandwich back Before we left town but I didn't want that smelly thing near me. How could someone smell that meat and serve it? I don't get it. My friends set the sandwich outside after they saved it in the fridge and it smelled up the house. The crows pecked at it but wouldn't even eat it... Read these reviews and believe what they are saying. Don't go here. Not worth it even if your hungry. Wait in line at one of the other places in town. There is a reason they have lines at their places and this place doesn't.
(1)Michelle A.
Definitely should have read the reviews before going here. Left our hotel for bagels and coffee. Way over priced just like everyone else has said. Got the food back to the hotel, took one taste of the cream cheese and it was all rancid. Completely disgusting. So we went back for a refund. The tweaked out lady behind the counter argued about it, saying it was just her "robust flavor." Only gave a partial refund. I'll be reporting this place for a health inspection.
(1)Dan O.
This place is crap. Two bagels, a latte and a bottled water came out to $19! That's ABSURD. The same at any Starbucks would have been under $10 easy. Only giving this one star because I can't give it zero.
(1)Nicole B.
We stopped here on our first visit to Cannon Beach and should of looked at the reviews first. We ordered two bagels, one reuben and one veggie. The reuben didn't have thousand island dressing and the veggie was fine. However, I initially thought they overcharged us but I figured a dollar or so wasn't a big deal. Then, I recently got my credit card bill and they charged us $30+ for two bagels. I tried calling today but nobody answered so I just disputed $10 on my credit card. I recommend visiting another spot!
(1)Neill P.
These hucksters charged $3.95 for a bagel listed as costing $1.95. When I realized what they had done, the woman stopped making eye contact but gave some lane explanation about the added cost of the butter and the labor of putting it in a toaster. The bagel ended up being terrible. These people are con artists, and you should not support them. The only reason I went in there is because that part of town has a data dead-zone and I couldn't check Yelp. If I had, I would have seen all of the other complaints about how these people are dishonest cheats.
(1)Melissa S.
Be careful - you must add your own bill before being charged. We were overcharged and had to have a long conversation providing some help with addition, before being refunded the correct amount. The bagel sandwiches are not worth the $8.45.
(1)Jonah H.
Horrible coffee and way too expensive. I had a 16oz coffee with a double shot and my wife had an iced coffee with a single shot. I almost choked when I got the bill for $11.80. The slow female behind the counter said that the shots were .95 each. I don't know how many she put in but the coffee was flavorless and cold. I threw the last quarter of it on the pavement because it was now cold and tasted like crap. My wife wouldn't let me go in and complain but damn, I really really wanted to. Don't go here! She should be out of business!
(1)Lee J.
Man, wish I read the other reviews before we went... Long wait, over-priced, not very flavorful. The place looked sketchy, but I thought maybe it was an old-fashioned facade. Nope, just crappy. Oh, and my wife had a rock in her sandwich...
(1)Janelle M.
I was hungry for something light but not heavy. Stopped in there and at first I wasn't even sure if the place was open because all the lights were turned off. The prices seemed expensive but we were there and it was just easy. We ordered a bagel sandwich and it was just horrible. It looked like a kid made the sandwich and in the end it didn't taste that great either. I have no plans on going back there and we go down to Cannon Beach quite often.
(1)Steven C.
I will not return to this business. $10 for two bagels and a coffee. And "funnier" was 55 cents for half and half in your coffee. Plus the bagels were stale.
(1)Susie Q.
The menu board read $4.15 for a 20 oz. latte and $5.50 for a white chocolate mocha. Not paying a lot of attention, I paid the server the $11.85 she quoted, got my change and she went to make the drinks. While she was doing so, my husband and I realized she had charged us $11.85 - $2.20 over the menu board price. When asked, the lady said there was an extra charge because we ordered non-fat drinks. Apparently, the prices on the menu board are only the BASE price. From there ANY change, like ordering non-fat or a flavor was extra. She explained to us that non-fat milk costs more, like soy milk, and so our order cost more. Really! We sent to the store and guess what, even in Cannon Beach, non-fat milk costs the same 2% and 1%. She out and out lied to us! After reading other reviews on Yelp, we realize we got off lucky. AVOID this place!!! It is a ripoff! There are a number of good espresso places nearby which don't charge extra and make excellent drinks. We know because after our experience with Seashore Bagles Deli and Espresso, we made it a point to go elsewhere. Susie Q

I am still figuring out Cannon Beach and where to get a great meal, at a fair price, with amazing service. Needless to say, quoting Bono & the lads from U2 "I still haven't found what I'm looking for". On this lovely day, we were strolling about and enjoying the gorgeous weather and the arrival of fall, and were wanting a small snack. This place was right in front of us and from the sign, seemed to fit the bill. Upon entering, we immediately noticed that the place was quite filthy (is there not a Health Department in Cannon Beach?). The lack of greeting, followed by a clueless stare, coupled with the condition of the establishment, prompted a fast turn around and departure. Thankfully we did so because after now reading the negative Yelp reviews and the business ethics or lack thereof of this place, we averted yet another coastal culinary disaster. Put a fork in this place, as it is definitely done!!
(1)S R.
zero stars. two lousy sandwiches, two drinks and $28!!!!! everything said about this place is true.... avoid this pos place at all costs. i can't say enough bad things about this hole.
(1)Amy H.
Geez, not sure what the point is of adding yet another review that is pretty much identical to everyone else's. This place is overpriced and dirty. I got a plain bagel toasted with peanut butter, an asiago bagel toasted with butter, and an frozen coffee drink for $15. I tried questioning the woman, but never could figure out how it came to that amount. Apparently adding butter to the $1.95 bagel adds 95 more cents, plus 50 cents for toasting. Peanut butter adds $1.70! The guy making these used his hands to reach in and get the bagels. I think they just make their money on one-off people coming in since they will never get return customers. Or maybe they have to charge more since they don't get return traffic. Sounds like everyone has a similar ripped off feeling. I'll never go back and will tell others to avoid it as well... hope that extra $6 you made off me was worth it.
(1)Jen B.
Like others have already said, why write another review? Anyways, worst service ever. Avoid at all costs.
(1)Jennifer L.
The worst bagels I've ever had. I took one back because it was so hard my son couldn't eat it. What did they give me to replace it? Another bagel so hard and stale it couldn't be eaten. We ended up spending $27 for 4 bagels (yes, only 4 bagels) and had to throw them away. DO NOT EAT THERE! I'm not sure how that place stays in business!
(1)Eric B.
I thought the bagel sandwich we had was pretty good - but the prices and hidden fees are outrageous! $1.00 hidden fee for toasting! .75 for lettuce - Isn't that usually gratis, especially on a $7.50 sandwich. And $4.50 for a bagel with cream cheese? Cannon Beach is on the pricier side but but that's ridiculous.
(1)Kat ..
I would rate this as a NEGATIVE 5 stars!!! Slow, Over Priced, Not Friendly and Dirty
(1)Molly B.
This place is nothing but a scam joint. We wanted a snack and stopped here. We ordered three chais and then decided to have bagels in addition. The owner told us we owed $29.10. My cousin and I looked at each other in astonishment. Chais were $4.10, and we thought bagels were $1.95. Then we noticed that a bagel with cream cheese was $4.50. We nearly passed out. $2.60 for cream cheese on one bagel? You've got to be kidding me. We still could not get the bill to add up to $29.10. As we looked at the menu board, we found some rather steep prices--$.75 for a piece of lettuce? Come on. The owner toasted the bagels and put on the cream cheese--sans gloves. I tasted my chai, and what I tasted bore no resemblance to chai. It was like the owner took a cup of water, added a tablespoon of milk, and waved a tea bag over it. As I said to my cousin on the way out, "If this is chai, I'm the Virgin Mary." We thought the bagels were good, but the chai was undrinkable--and was even worse when it cooled off. A word to the wise--don't frequent this establishment--it's a rip off.

I have to agree with everyone else. Wish I had read the reviews first. The prices are insane. Near $10 for a bagel sandwich. Some bagels are premium. First time I've seen a "deli" that charges extra for bread. $2 grocery store doughnuts. I could go on and on. I'm sure this place has some positives but I won't be back to find out what they are.
(1)J. B.
My son who is three asked for a sesame bagel. Being on vacation we went above and beyond to accommodate him. We pulled off 101 and found the coffee place across the street and they only sold a limited variety of bagels with cream cheese. When I looked across the street I saw Seashore Bagels and knew we could be in luck. They had sesame bagels and toasted them with butter. Then Ashley charged us $8.90. I asked what she was charging us and she said $2.75 for each bagel plus .95 for butter. I explained she gave me $11.10 change meaning by her math she over charged us. Then I read the sign that said BAGELS $1.95 Then I found the BUTTER under the EXTRAS Menu $.95 that bagel should have cost us $2.90 each for a total of $5.80. The woman ASHLEY argued with me when I explained to her the simple math. She decided she could give me $1.10 back meaning she charged me $3.90 for each bagel with butter.

I took a previous reviewer's advice and wrote to the Cannon Beach Chamber about this place. They probably won't do anything, but it made me feel better. My husband went in to get sandwiches for each of us today and one for our daughters to split. He came out while waiting for them to be made (I waited in the car) and told me it was $29...just for three sandwiches. Okay so I thought he must have ordered some fancy sandwiches...cream cheese, cucumber, and sprouts maybe? Turkey, bacon avocado? NO...turkey, cheese, and tomato on sliced bread that looked like something out of the Andy Griffith days. He brings out the sandwiches in a lunch bag sized paper bag. I said, "That's it?!" I open the sandwiches to realize the cheese is American. Processed cheese product on a $9 sandwich? and the bread was tough and had obviously been frozen and it was topped off with a soggy tomato. We were already on the highway but my husband turned right around to take them back. He told her the sandwiches were sub-par and she said she could only return $20...and asked if he would want a bagel (which according to earlier reviews I am glad he said no!) but he did say a couple of mochas would suffice (that made up for the $9 of our money they were insisting on keeping). Everything the previous reviewers have said is true...we were charged 75 cents for wheat bread (of course they don't tell you, they just add it to the price and tell you the total) and if you want lettuce that is another 75 cents! This place is ripping off the tourists in Cannon Beach and I hope they mess up so they can be shut down. Oh, and apparently they don't care about Yelp reviews because my husband looked them up and mentioned it to the lady to which she replied, "Oh, that's just a scandalous website".
(1)Steve W.
2 chewy bagels with cream cheese and 2 bottled sodas...$15. You can do better.
(1)Mike P.
The woman behind the counter offers horrible, slow service, lousy espresso with no crema, and an absurdly overpriced menu. $12 for two bagels and a double espresso (butter, no cream cheese). I was charged extra for toasting her horrible bagels. I wish I had 3G service when in Cannon Beach so I could have seen these reviews ahead of time.
(1)Keith W.
Went there this morning and ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese, onion bagel with cream cheese and medium drip coffee = 13.50. Being that I was in a bit of a fog due to it being early and my pregnant wife craving a bagel, I didn't pay close attention till too late. I asked how much a bagel w/ cream cheese was, she replied 4.95. I asked if I read the board right, that a bagel was 1.95, I had. She told me that prep and cream cheese was an additional 3 dollars. I asked her directly, how she slept at night gouging people like that, and she replied that these were the prices around town. They are NOT. Before I could reply, she did an about face and walked quickly to the back of the store. The bagels were small and very STALE. I poured the coffee out after 2 sips, it was DISGUSTING. If you read all these reviews and still go... you deserve what you get.

WOW is all I can say. I WISH I had gone onto this site before we went into this place. It was Labor Day and we were wanting to make a quick stop before we left town to go crabbing. There were 4 of us and I was surprised to walk in without a wait. It seemed everywhere else had a good amount of people in it, so my guess was that we got lucky by getting fast service. The place looks old, dirty, dated, and very cheap. The reader board was clustered an confusing. Lots of words and prices, not in a line, but all jumbled. I saw "Bagel $1.95" and didn't try to figure out anything else since that is what we were ordering. We ordered 3 "asiago" bagels, 1 blueberry all w/cream cheese. 3 drinks from the cooler (2 OJs and a cranberry- very small sizes) and a small coffee. The receipt printed and I had to look at it twice and ask how she arrived at that price- obviously she made a mistake in the calculation. The owner quickly made a bee line for the back when I asked about the price- to avoid being put on the spot- $36 for 4 bagels and 4 small drinks. She started calculating it again (took her 10 minutes) - she was scribbling on this tiny piece of paper, racking her brain obviously with how the hell she even came up with $36 for my total- she just kept going back and adding random charges, like maybe .50 for toasting, and .50 for taking it out of the friggin case, and maybe .50 for putting it in paper, and maybe another .50 for handing it to me to eat.....and still came up with not one but TWO different figures other than my total. Then she said, "well, it's close enough"- CLOSE ENOUGH???? You are over charging me, admitting it but it's "close enough"? I asked about how she came up with the price since the bagels read $1.95... she said "with cream cheese and toasting it they are $4.50 EACH and then since they are "special gourmet bagels they are another .75" WTF?!- special- means slapping a piece of hard kraft cheese onto the bottom of a plain bagel and that makes it gourmet? Since when are blueberries gourmet? Also, I am pretty sure these were made from cardboard not bread. Drinks were $2.95 each. One of our drinks was expired but we were told it was fine because it was refrigerated. I added the money up and it still didn't add up. I had my Mom vacationing with me and my 2 kids, so tried not to make a scene. My Mom had her mouth open so wide the whole time at the price her pieces of rock bagels kept rolling out of her mouth onto the ground. We got out of there and realized we had been scammed- I told my Mom I would dispute the charges with my bank because the "advertised' price wasn't what we were charged, the lady behind the counter who was clueless had no idea how she arrived at the charge. I was mad when we left, but not as mad as I was when I went to write the review and low and behold saw that everyone else had the same exact experience. I contacted Cannon Beach BBB and I will be pursuing a claim with my Bank and make sure they are aware of the fraudulent business practices. IF YOU HAD THIS EXPERIENCE YOU CAN EMAIL THE COMPLAINT TO THE CHAMBER AT chamber@cannonbeach.org AND THEY WILL REVIEW THESE AT THE BOARD MEETINGS.
(1)Li M.
I try to be as kind and fair as possible when writing reviews, but this place is awful. We were charged $15.00 for two plain bagels with cream cheese (one with a slice of tomato) and one drink.... Absolutely ridiculous. For that price, I'd expect something more than a small, chewy, old bagel. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude, and the kitchen looked like an episode of "Hoarders". Save your time and money, and go elsewhere!!
(1)Paul S.
This is the worst deli I've ever experienced. Plain bagels are $2.50. I can buy a dozen at Safeway, which are ten times better, for that price. The "premium" asiago cheese bagel was just a plain bagel with a slice of kraft asiago cheese melted on the top. Lastly, a bagel with ham, egg, and cheese costs $7.50. Even if the owner made the bagel, slaughtered the pig for ham, and made the cheese - all before my eyes - this place would still be overpriced. Don't go here, and cross your fingers that the moron who runs that runs this shoddy excuse for a deli will eventually lose enough money that it has to go out of business.
(1)Robert B.
I'll agree with the price scalping discussions of the other yelpers ($23 for two bagel sandwiches and two ocean spray juices), but I'll raise it up a notch... this place was nasty. I mean dirty. The lady behind the counter took our cash, wiped her hands on her pants - and then made our sandwiches - sans gloves. We proceeded to the nearest trash-can to dispose of the food - and then on to lunch at the nearest 3+ -star establishment (the Wayfarer).
(1)Mike H.
I have never gone to the trouble to write a review of a dining establishment but was compelled to do so after a TERRIBLE experience I had at Seashore yesterday. The woman who runs it flat-out tried to rip me off, charging me several dollars more for my sandwich than was listen on her price board. I said "i'm pretty sure that 6.95 plus a dollar is not $9.20," to which she replied "oh, you don't want your sandwich hot?" Errr...SKETCHY! Of course, the sandwich was terrible and the cookies were straight out of a pre-packaged Franz cookie container. Boooo Seashore Bagels!
